Summer

Summer, I know you don't read my blog.

Maybe, one day, you will. And if you do, you'll see a post with your name on it and think, "Oh no... What did Jeff write about me?"

I love you.

Being your husband is the greatest honor of my life.

The first two years of marriage have been an adventure. Austin to St. Louis. St. to Phoenix. Phoenix to TBD. Who knows where we'll be in a few months. There really is quite a bit up in the air, which I know is stressful to you.

But you haven't complained once. You've made life work wherever we've gone.

You have been a rock through it all. You've given me the chance to pursue God's calling on my life.

I can't thank you enough. You are a precious gift.

Speaking of gifts... A blessed Pentecost to you all.

If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him! - Luke 11:13

I hope you know and believed that you have been given the most precious gift ever given. You have received immeasurable grace. You have received faith. You have received the Spirit of the Living God. You have received the certainty of eternal life.

Because you have received the Holy Spirit, and because Jesus is seated at the right hand of God, interceding for us before the Father, know that you have the freedom and the privilege to ask for whatever you need!

Take the measure of your life this morning. Consider the blessings God has bestowed upon you. Say thank you.
